Special Events: Diary #06

To keep the exhibition Minor Frequencies: The Inner Life Of A Nation alive and active, the National Pavilion of the United Republic of Tanzania has conceived Diary, a series of Special Events under the scientific direction of Martina Cavallarin.

These are close readings of works and artists, conferences, workshops and laboratories held in collaboration with Fine Arts Academies and other institutions.

Special Event Diary #06 is JULIAN T. IMPACTFUL, a solo exhibition curated by Giulia Pozzi.

The opening on Saturday 11 July at 7.00 pm includes a guided tour of Minor Frequencies: The Inner Life Of A Nation led by the curator of the National Pavilion, followed by the opening of the solo show.

The exhibition

Almost twenty years after the birth of the Impact project, Julian T. returns to the Venice Art Biennale with IMPACTFUL, a solo exhibition that is at once a moment of fulfilment and a new genesis.

The artist returns to the beginning: to the birth of the stain, to that founding instant, partly shaped by chance, which for years remained invisible, held within the speed of the gesture and the memory of its action. Through a slow-motion video and fifteen canvases created for the occasion, the work focuses on the fall of the sphere and the formation of the pictorial trace, drawing the viewer’s gaze back to the original dimension of the project. The heart of IMPACTFUL lies precisely in this dilated measure of time. In observing this process, the viewer is called to a different contemplative posture: no longer merely a recipient, but a witness of artistic creation. Time becomes a space where control and unpredictability coexist and feed one another. The stain no longer appears solely as the final outcome of the action, but as an organism in transformation, the visible manifestation of a fragile and necessary balance between intention and happening.

With IMPACTFUL, Julian T. neither celebrates an anniversary nor builds a nostalgic account of his own path: he chooses to return to the exact point where everything began. A return that does not treat the past as a closed memory but as a possibility still open, giving back to the eye the generative instant from which the entire project took shape.

The Special Event JULIAN T. IMPACTFUL is made possible by the support of Sofi Gallery, which promotes and sells contemporary art through international exhibitions and fairs across Bergamo, Hong Kong, London, Singapore and its new venue in New York. It offers artists tailored development paths, supported by targeted digital strategies and bespoke consultancy, built on the careful cultivation of the collectors’ world.

The exhibition also enjoys the support of Andrea Skizzo Mulargia: singer-songwriter, musician and a leading voice in international tourist entertainment. A founding partner of Stars Be Original and an entrepreneur with a long-standing focus on younger generations, he champions culture and sustainability through creative formats and publishing projects for children.

IMPACT is pure emotion. A force that leaves its mark
